LiveDeck
NDI vision mixer — test builds for iPhone, iPad & Android
What's new in build 304
- NEW — Invite a guest from the source list. + → “Satellite or guest (internet)…” now has two cards: Camera only (enter the other phone’s code, as before) and Guest. The Guest card turns the guest room on, shows the code, and has Share invite / Copy / New. The invite carries a link — https://live-deck.app/g/‹code› — that opens LiveDeck straight into Satellite → Join as guest with the code filled in (on a phone without the app it shows the install page and the code). “Add a waiting slot” puts a “Waiting for guest…” tile in your layouts that becomes the guest’s picture the moment they are let in. Both platforms.
- NEW — Guests wait at the door. When someone connects with the guest code, a “Guest at the door” banner appears with Admit / Deny (also in the web remote and Settings → Guests). Until you tap Admit they get nothing — no Program, no sound, no tile — so a code that leaks opens only the doorbell. Settings → Guests: “Let me admit each guest” (on by default), “New code for every show” (on by default), room size (4), and the room closes itself after 15 minutes with nobody in it.
- Removing a guest’s source (or “Remove guest”) now tells that device it was removed and keeps it out for the rest of the show. A guest also sees why it was not let in (declined · room full · removed).
- iOS: the app registers the live-deck.app links (universal links), so a tapped invite opens the app directly once Apple has picked up the site’s association file. Android: verified App Links, opens directly.

Build 303
- NEW — Guests on the same Wi‑Fi. A Wi‑Fi satellite (Send via same Wi‑Fi → “Join as guest”) now gets the show too: the Studio’s Program picture large with the guest’s own camera as an inset (tap to swap), the show’s sound minus that guest, and the other Wi‑Fi guests’ voices — all over NDI, no internet. The Studio turns its NDI output on with the guest room and adds an audio‑only “LiveDeck Bed” source. Both platforms.
- Android Studio now finds Wi‑Fi satellites the way iOS does (a small beacon on the satellite, a browser on the Studio): chat, TALK and guest mode work before the satellite’s camera has been added as a source, and an Android satellite is visible to an iOS Studio the same way.
- Internet guests: each guest now receives the other guests’ audio only (not their video), which saves bandwidth on the phone; the Studio still receives everything.
- Fix: switching the guest room off now stops every Wi‑Fi guest, including ones whose camera is not a source.
Build 302
- NEW — Guests (internet). Studio: Settings → Guests → “Guest room” gives a 6‑digit guest code (copy / share). Satellite: Send via Internet → “Join as guest” + that code. A guest sends its camera and mic like any satellite AND sees the Program picture large (own camera as an inset — tap to swap) and hears the show: everything except themselves, with the other guests heard directly. Pick layouts as usual — that decides who is seen and heard; TALK to one guest or all as before. Both platforms.
- Guests cost the Studio one extra video upload (~2.5 Mbit/s); 2–4 guests on a phone, more on an iPad. Earphones recommended for guests.
Build 301
- Fewer false OFFLINE pills: an ordinary NDI camera now counts as lost only after 8 s without a frame (was 4 s — Wi‑Fi stalls of a few seconds on a phone were flagging healthy cameras); the short reconnect when a source switches bandwidth tier no longer counts. Wi‑Fi satellites keep the 4 s rule (they stop deliberately). Both platforms.
- Source diagnostics: iOS Settings → Debug → “Source diagnostics” and Android’s health status show, per source, its state, stream tier, seconds since the last frame, reconnect count and the exact reason a tile is flagged.
